The acceleration is violent, with massive turbo torque arriving instantly and continuing relentlessly through the rev range. Unlike naturally aspirated GT3 models that reward high revs, the GT2 RS overwhelms with sheer force––making it one of the fastest accelerating rear-wheel-drive cars ever produced. The chassis is heavily reworked to control that power. Extensive use of carbon fiber and magnesium reduces weight, while upgraded suspension components, rear-wheel steering, and active engine mounts sharpen responsiveness and stability. Massive air intakes, aggressive aerodynamic elements, and a towering rear wing generate serious downforce, helping the car remain planted at extreme speeds. The optioned Weissach Package reduces weight even further with extensive exposed carbon fiber components and magnesium wheels. Inside, the cabin reflects its track-focused mission. Alcantara, carbon fiber trim, lightweight bucket seats, and pull-strap door handles reduce weight while creating a purposeful environment centered entirely around driving. The layout remains familiar to 911 owners, but everything feels more intense and focused.
